The Brief


We met Freddie and Jack at an e-commerce event in London. They were seeking a potential agency to help them scale their already successful e-commerce store. As the first pickleball-dedicated shop in the UK, the pair saw the coming rise in the market. They sought to enhance their brand position and provide an unparalleled online experience for their expanding customer base. The main goal was to help the brand maintain its market-leading position within the UK and increase online revenue year on year.

Our Approach

We took a full funnel approach, researching the emerging market, customer demographics and overseas competitors to put together an online experience plan to help attract new pickleball users as well as retain their current clientele.

Brand
The Pickleball Shop UK brand was functional but lacked the character and professional appearance needed to remain the UK’s leading pickleball retailer, as the market was projected to grow 65% in the next 3 years. Updating and modernising its current logo and brand colours, we elevated the brand's position and image without drastically changing its original roots.

Website & CRO

Website Build & Development
We redesigned the entire website layout with a focus on navigation. Adding key categories to the homepage, showcasing top products, key informational pages, and Trustpilot reviews. We incorporated the new vibrant colour palette to create a high contrast look, while optimising for accessibility and conversions.

Search Engine & Product Optimisation
While laying out the new page designs, we restructured the site's navigational structure. We reorganised Pickleball Shop UK’s parent and child categories using relevant search terms, updated URLs and site hierarchy and optimised content and metadata across category and product pages for SEO and CRO

Email Marketing


Using Shopify's built-in emails and automation, Pickleball Shop UK wasn't generating the email-attrited revenue it should have. After examining their customer base and set-up, we migrated their contact list to Klaviyo, cleaned and segmented the list, and collected data for added personalisation. We then implemented a series of full funnel flows to increase engagement and sender reputation, while establishing a regular email newsletter cadence, experimenting with different segments based on website behaviours and preferences.

Within 6 months, we had generated £99,917 in email-attributed revenue through a mix of automated flows and regular campaign emails.

Google Ads


To build traction and increase acquisition, we audited Pickleball Shop UK’s Google Ads accounts and put in motion a strategy to target the right audience while optimising the Google Feed for more effective campaigns. After 6 months of managing the account, we increased ROAS by 580%.
